FoRR in the Community: A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering

Thank you to AJ Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering for having us be a part of their summer program! This year, the school wanted to center their program around something relevant to students' everyday lives, leading them to pick water as their theme for the summer. FoRR was 1 of 4 partners for this program, others included were Bolton & Menk, ReWa, and Greenville Water.

Throughout FoRR's time working with AJ Whittenberg, we presented on watersheds, ran our runoff simulation, practiced identifying macroinvertebrates, held a litter cleanup, and even took the students on a field trip to Unity Park to learn about best stormwater management practices! Yesterday, FoRR attended AJ Whittenberg's student showcase, where students got the opportunity to reflect on what they learned and present their poetry on water.
